If music is your passion, then Tennessee is your state! Plan your Volunteer State elopement in Nashville or Memphis, and let your nuptials take on a melodic tone. More than just the home of the “Grand ‘Ol Opry”, Nashville has become a leading center for the recording and production of all types of music. Of course, rock ‘n roll pioneers from Elvis to Jerry Lee Lewis made history at legendary recording studios in Memphis. Seeking Tennessee elopement packages that take advantage of the state’s natural and scenic beauty? Get married in the town of Gatlinburg near the Great Smoky Mountains! Get your country (or soul, or rockabilly) on with a Tennessee elopement via the vendors listed below.

Both persons seeking a marriage license in Tennessee must be eighteen years of age, must present either valid driver’s licenses or birth certificates, Social Security cards, valid passports (for those who are not U.S. citizens), and proof of divorce if previously married. There is no blood test or waiting period. A Tennessee marriage license must be solemnized within thirty days from the date of issue, but can be used on the same day it has been applied for. Non-Tennessee residents are charged a fee of $41 in Sevier County (where Gatlinburg is located). Other Tennessee counties may charge different fees. Tennessee residents are charged approximately $100, though $60 of this fee will be waived for those who take a premarital course.
